Prof. Dr. Sesuko Aoki

Prof. Dr. Sesuko Aoki is Professor of International Law at the Faculty of Policy Management, Keio University, Japan since April 2004. Previously, she worked as Associate Professor at the School of Social Science, National Defense Academy of Japan (1994-1999) and Associate Professor, Faculty of Policy Management, Keio University, Japan (1999-2004).


Prof. Aoki holds a Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.), Institute of Air and Space Law, Faculty of Law, McGill University, Canada (June, 1993) as well as a B.C.L and LL.M. of the Keio University. She is a Member of the IISL and works for the Japanese Government as a member of the Space Policy Committee (Cabinet Office), a member of Telecommunications Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) and a legal advisor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Legal Subcommittee of the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS) since 2002.
